New Information on The Roswell UFO Incident

If you have no idea about the events that took place outside of Roswell New Mexico in July of 1947, then this is not really a good place to start. There are countless articles and books about the Roswell UFO crash, and I urge you to read some of them. However, I will summarize the events here.

What Happened in Roswell

In the summer of 1947, something crashed on a ranch outside of Roswell New Mexico. The military quickly cordoned off the area and removed all of the debris. The military announced to the press that they had captured a flying saucer. The next day, the military changed the story and claimed that what had been recovered from the crash site was nothing more then a weather balloon. Over the years, the government has given several other explanations as to what actually crashed in Roswell. These explanations range from a parachute testing experiment gone wrong to a crashed Project Mogul Balloon. (Project Mogul was a top secret project at the time of the incident). The constantly changing “official” story has led many to believe that the initial reports of a crashed UFO to be the real truth.

Wernher von Braun and the Roswell UFO Incident

Did famed German rocket scientist, founder of NASA, and the father of the Saturn V rocket see the wreckage from Roswell? In a word, Yes.

Before I get into my claim, I am going to give you some back story on how I came to learn of this information.

About 20 years ago, I worked for a company that did contract work for JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratories). My boss (we will call him Gene) had gotten the contracts with JPL through contacts he had met while working for Wernher von Braun in the mid 1960’s. I had grown up in a town very close to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center, and as a result had a deep fascination with the space program. This led to a lasting friendship with my boss that lasted until he recently passed away. (It is because of his passing that I am now comfortable sharing his story, since he had asked me to keep this private).

Over the years Gene and I would often talk of his time working with Wernher von Braun. He once told me a story about how von Braun would get components for the Saturn V rocket from different vendors, and then make changes to the components himself. He would never document his changes, and therefore, no one at NASA knew how the Saturn V actually worked. I tell this story here because there have been many articles recently about how NASA scientists are reverse engineering the one remaining Saturn V rocket to try and figure out how it actually works. This seems to Corroborate the stories that Gene would tell me.

Back to Roswell

One night, Gene and I were working late, and talking about Von Braun. Gene told me that Von Braun had confided in him about the Roswell crash. Von Braun said he had been taken to examine the wreckage of the Roswell UFO incident, (At the time Wernher von Braun would have been about 100 miles from Roswell at the White Sands Missile Range testing Hermes Rockets). Wernher von Braun said that the wreckage he had seen from the Roswell crash technologically surpassed anything that could have been made by current technologies on Earth. However, he did not believe it was a spacecraft. He said that the material recovered from Roswell was not strong enough to withstand the rigors of space flight. Instead, he theorized, that the wreckage was from an interdimensional craft of some sort.

Was Gene pulling my leg? I doubt it. Was von Braun pulling Genes? Possibly. Since I never met Wernher von Braun myself, it is hard for me to tell if he was the type of person to tell fanciful stories or not.
